How can AI based decisions in recruitment processes be checked for fairness? Can algorithms meet the demands our modern worlds needs to satisfy the complexity of fairness?
To make a well-informed decision it is important to ask the right questions and critically reflect on the information provided. How one can thoroughly scrutinize aptitude diagnostics and optimize the accuracy of an algorithm without sacrificing fairness will be discussed in the lecture by Larissa Fuchs (University of Cologne)
Larissa Fuchs is a doctoral student at the chair Economics: Design & Behavior (Pinger) at the WISO Faculty of the University of Cologne. She is also a co-founder of the Women in Economics Initiative e.V. that was establish to advance gender equality in the field of economics. Her research interests include discrimination in the labor market. Together with the HR-tech start up candidate select GmbH (CASE) she works for the Project FAIR (Fair Artificial Intelligence Recruiting) on the vision to dismantle discrimination in recruitment outcomes.
